Info: | Edna is a 1961 Karmann Ghia convertible that Phil purchase in the spring of 2012. For the most part he bought her sight un-seen except for a few photos. She was someone else project that was started but not finished. Once she arrived at his home he found that she needed new floors and the "new" paint was not very good. Phil and one of his friends took her body off and rebuilt her frame. Once her frame was done other things in life took priority so Phil gave me a call to see if I would repaint her and finish things up.
Update, Sept 2013
Work has started on Edna. As I started to strip her down I found that 90% of her body was covered with 1/2" to 1" thick coating of filler. From the photos you can see what was hiding under the filler.
Update, Dec 2013
Edna is now painted, time for reassembly
Update, Aug 2014
Edna is complete except for her top. We are having a hard time finding Grey canvase
Update May 2015
We finally had the correct top and headliner shipped to us. Five times we were sent the wrong one! Finally Phil gets to take her home and drive her.
